Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML) has been providing pioneering marine research for thirty years from their facility on Plymouth Hoe. During this time scientists at PML have made major contributions to UK, European and International research programmes, delivering important research findings, products and solutions for understanding and managing sustainable marine eco-systems.

After a successful credentials pitch we were commissioned to design the 2007 PML Annual Review – a special edition that both celebrates the past 30 years and demonstrates how PML will remain at the forefront of marine research in the future. Our solution was to design a review that provides the insight into the innovative work of PML, examples of specific field and laboratory research and celebrate their anniversary with a distinctive and highly appropriate cover concept.
